DASA Training Information Applicants for Certification
The DASA training workshop is only available from a provider approved by the New York State Education Department. Individuals who have not completed the DASA training through a New York State registered educator preparation program must complete the training with one of the providers in the following table.
The length of the training is at least six clock hours and typically includes at least three clock hours completed in-person (not online). However, the training may be offered entirely online during the time period of the State of Emergency declared by the Governor of New York State for the COVID-19 crisis. Individuals could contact the following approved DASA training providers to find out if their training will be offered entirely online.
Please note that some providers offer workshops that are longer than six clock hours. In addition, fees vary across providers.
